Welcome to Friends of Russell County Animals ("FRCA," "we," "us," or "our"). FRCA is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization serving Russell County, Virginia, helping local pet owners access spay/neuter services, vaccinations, and other veterinary assistance. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website (frcva.org), our assistance programs, and our communications with you, including text messages, email, and Facebook Messenger.
By using our website, applying for assistance, or opting in to receive messages from us, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
Our Programs
FRCA offers assistance programs for pet owners, which may include help with spay/neuter procedures, vaccinations, microchipping, and related veterinary services. Program availability depends on funding, volunteer capacity, and partner veterinary clinic availability, and may change at any time without notice.
Approval for assistance is at FRCA's discretion and may require documentation to establish eligibility. Submitting an application does not guarantee approval or a specific appointment date. Assistance is provided for the pet and services identified in your approved application.
Your Responsibilities
When you apply for assistance or participate in our programs, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information in your application and communications with us
- Keep your scheduled appointments, or notify us as early as possible if you must cancel or reschedule
- Follow the instructions of the veterinary clinic providing services, including pre- and post-procedure care for your pet
- Use our website and communication channels lawfully and respectfully
Providing false information to obtain assistance may result in denial or termination of assistance.
SMS / Text Messaging Terms
FRCA offers an informational text messaging program to clients who choose text as their preferred contact method. By providing your mobile phone number and selecting text messaging, you consent to receive text messages from FRCA related to your application, appointments, reminders, and follow-up surveys.
- Program purpose: Messages include application status updates, appointment confirmations, appointment reminders, survey requests, and related service communications. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.
- Message frequency: Message frequency varies depending on your application and services. You will typically receive a small number of messages per appointment or program interaction.
- Message and data rates may apply. Standard rates from your mobile carrier may apply to messages you send and receive.
- Opt out: Reply STOP at any time to cancel text messages. After you send STOP, we will send one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed. No further messages will be sent unless you opt back in.
- Help: Reply HELP for help at any time, or contact us at friendsofrussellcountyanimals@gmail.com.
- Consent not required: Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of receiving assistance. You may choose email or another contact method instead.
- Carriers: Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Privacy: Your mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your information.
If you change or deactivate your mobile number, please notify us promptly so we can update our records.
